NEW YORK (AP) Stocks are opening higher on Wall Street as a September rally resumes.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 45 points, or 0.3 percent, at 15,347 after the first few minutes of trading Friday.
The Dow fell 25 points the day before. It was only the second decline in the Dow so far in September.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index rose three points, or 0.2 percent, to 1,686.

The Nasdaq composite was up four points, or 0.1 percent, to 3,720.
Intel led the Dow higher after Jefferies & Co. upgraded its rating on the stock, saying the company is poised to gain market share with power-efficient chips. Intel rose 57 cents, or 2.5 percent, to $23.20.
