European and United States scientists have joined forces to develop a male contraceptive pill.
The deal was struck between a Norwegian biotech company and the University of Massachusetts Medical School and revolves around research to develop a drug that blocks sperm's ability to swim and fertilise an egg.
The method targets a protein only found in sperm cells, called Cs, which requires sophisticated chemical screening.
