A much-needed lick of paint has been applied to the Wanganui Riverboat Centre - thanks to local painters.
A job that would have been priced at around $25,000 has cost nothing after members of Wanganui Master Painters provided more than 200 hours of free labour.
Resene, Dulux, Wattyl and GuthrieBowron supplied the paint for free, and Scafit put up the scaffolding at no charge as well.
"We're doing this as a community project," Wanganui Master Painters president Allan Barnes said.
"It's because this building is owned by the people of Wanganui, we're giving something back."
