A giant, yellow, inflatable duck which popped up on the Whanganui River on Friday night had tongues wagging in town all weekend.
Daniel Goldsworthy launched the duck - which took three hours to inflate - below Whanganui City Bridge to promote next Saturday's raft race, which he is running.
Teams of at least four will race down the river on homemade rafts. The $50 entry fee will go to charity with cash prizes up for grabs.
Mr Goldsworthy said the duck had been the talk of social media.
