Domino's Whanganui is helping a local woman get back on her feet after she lost her home to a fire.
Franchisee Neeraj Vishwakarma and his team at Victoria Ave are holding a "doughraiser" today for Joan Koorey, whose Plymouth St home was destroyed by a fire in late August.
Domino's will donate $1 for every pizza sold between 4pm and 9pm to Koorey to help her get back on track.
After learning about the tragic event, Vishwakarma said he knew his team had to help.

Koorey, who lived at the Plymouth St address for 23 years, said the community support through this time has been incredible.
"The fundraising has been amazing. My community of friends, work and family have been absolutely amazing. I've got through because of people and their generosity and love."
Vishwakarma said they were hoping to raise $1000 for Koorey, which will go towards replacing what she lost in the house fire.
"I couldn't imagine the pain of knowing my home had been destroyed, along with all my personal items and belongings.
"I want Ms Koorey to know that she is not alone during this difficult time. I, like many others in the Whanganui community, are here to help her."
Vishwakarma said in times like these it shows how important it is to look out for your local community.
"As a small business owner, I am passionate about giving back to the local communities in which we operate, and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do so at this time."
