Supermarket shopping in Wanganui became as clear as Night 'n' Day yesterday.
The highly successful South Island chain is expanding into the North Island and Wanganui is one of the first cities involved.
The store, which will have a staff of 12, replaces the Woolworths mini-mart at the Gull service station forecourt on Victoria Ave. Gull handed the forecourt over to Night 'n' Day after deciding its partnership with Woolworths had reached "the end of an era".
The stores are open for 24 hours a day and offer a range of groceries, as well as alcohol.
