The Wanganui Croquet Club has a full field for its 17th annual Golf Croquet tournament this weekend.
Starting this morning is the singles competition with 16 players taking part, while tomorrow with see the handicap doubles held, also with a full field of 16.
Club spokesman Neville Parker said a number of the competitors have +1 and zero handicaps.
"It's an elite field."
The big name is former New Zealand representative and world championships attendee Josh Smith, with the Palmerston North player bringing his -2 handicap with him.
Other players will be coming from Palmerston North, Tauranga, Hawera and New Plymouth.
All eight club greens will be operating throughout the two days of play.
