A Wellington music teacher is leading a workshop for singers in Marton on Saturday, May 12.
Isaac Stone teaches music at Tawa College and this special workshop in Marton has been organised by the New Zealand Choral Federation's Manawatu-Whanganui branch.
The focus of the workshop will be on "Finding Your Voice" in a choral ensemble, with tips on developing breath control and resonance to gain maximum enjoyment from singing in a group.
Isaac has a BMus in Classical Singing from the NZ School of Music. He has directed the Wellington Youth Choir, the Tawa College Blue Notes and the innovative choir Supertonic, which performed recently in Feilding.
There are two workshop sessions on May 12. The morning session runs from 10am–12 noon. There is a break for lunch, with the afternoon session running from 2pm–4pm.
Members of the public are welcome to attend. The cost is $20, which is reduced to $15 for members of NZCF.
