The Turakina Beach market on Saturday was a huge success, said organiser Susan Bryant.
"I lost count of the number of whitebait fritters I made but we sold out so I'm very happy."
The market day was an effort to raise money for security cameras in the area.
"All the food stalls did well and there were plenty of jam and pickle sales, said Mrs Bryant.
"Turakina School had a craft stall and it was really good to have them there."
"People went home with plenty of bargains and the stall holders were all happy too."
Turakina Antiques and Collectables, Mobil Service Station and Dublin St Butchers all pitched in with raffle prizes.
Mrs Bryant said unsold items from the white elephant stall were donated to Marton's Get and Give shop, so nothing was wasted.
