Attention all renovators - Whanganui's home show is just around the corner and organisers say it's expected to be the biggest year yet.

Next Saturday August 19 and 20, will mark the event's seventh year with more than 100 stands expected at Jubilee Stadium on London St.

Wanganui Home Show sales manager Amanda Wood said the show has picked up a lot of coverage on a national scale and it has really taken off.

"It's Whanganui's biggest show of the year. All of the exhibitors, bar a couple, are coming from all over the country," Ms wood said.

Doors will open at 9am on the Saturday and will run all day until 5pm. The show will reopen at 9am on the Sunday and conclude at 5pm that day.

Ms Wood said there was plenty to offer for renovation ideas for kitchens, carpet, spa pools, health products, cookware, massage chairs, motoring gizmos and gadgets galore.

"You can also meet some candidates for our upcoming elections."

National candidate Harete Hipango, Labour candidate Steph Lewis and Green candidate Nicola Patrick will each have a stand.

Ms Wood said there are also lots of great prizes to be won including the home prize draw - just enter your details at one of the many booths and be in to win a $33,000 prize package for your home.

"It's a great day out for the family, there is a cafe inside if you want to enjoy a coffee without even leaving the show."

Entry is by gold coin and children are free.
