A car accident, a burned leg and a head injury after a fall from a horse were all situations a helicopter rescue crew dealt with over the past week.
The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter team was called out to Waverley on May 1, after a woman in her 20s fell from a horse and suffered head injuries.
She was flown to Palmerston North Hospital.
Then on Wednesday, May 4, a man in his 20s suffered burns to his leg at Ohakea.
Pilot Chris Moody said they did not know how the man received the burns.
He was airlifted to Hutt Hospital for specialist treatment.
On Thursday the crew headed out to State Highway 1, north of Taihape, where a man had crashed his car.
"It was a single-vehicle accident," Mr Moody said.
"The driver appears to have lost control of the vehicle and has rolled over."
Nobody else was involved in the crash and the man, in his 70s, was the only occupant of the car.
He was flown to Palmerston North Hospital.
On Saturday, a man with an injured foot was taken to Whanganui Hospital from Taihape.
