La Fiesta women's festival kicks off its sixth season today, with a full programme of events for women and men alike.
Organiser Carla Donson said a new feature of this year's La Fiesta was the inclusion of events in Bulls.
"Over the past five years many people from throughout the Rangitikei, Manawatu, Waimarino and Central Plateau regions have attended various La Fiesta activities. The festival has also attracted visitors from Auckland and Wellington, as well as a family of visitors from England who have attended several programmes," Ms Donson said.
There will be two community events in Bulls, as well as a poster project that runs throughout La Fiesta.
Bulls will also be included in one of the events for the festival's focus - International Women's Day, on March 8. On that day people are invited to the "Incredi-Bulls Adventure", which will provide Wanganui people with a host of fun activities to meet some town characters, experience the hospitality of local businesses, and come together in celebration for high tea in the town hall at Bulls.
Ms Donson said La Fiesta 2015 contains something for everyone, with more than 70 events happening.
"There is everything from cheese-making, to a never-seen-before documentary, a whole host of creative opportunities, and activities to get people moving."
-La Fiesta begins today and runs until March 11. To pick up your copy of the events guide, drop into the Wanganui Women's Network on St Hill St, or visit the network's Facebook page.
