Rangitikei is in for its share of politics in the two-and-a-half weeks before the election.
A public debate featuring candidates from the Rangitikei and Te Tai Hauauru candidates will be held tomorrow, at 6pm.
The event at the Marton Friendship Hall will feature all five candidates for Rangitikei, Act's Neil Wilson, the Conservatives' Roy Brown, Labour's Deborah Russell, National incumbent Ian McKelvie and New Zealand First's Rom Rudzki.
Representatives of the Greens and the Internet Mana party were possibilities but had not confirmed, Project Marton's Cath Ash said. The two Te Tai Hauauru front-runners, the Maori Party's Chris McKenzie and Labour's Adrian Rurawhe, will also be there.
A recent poll showed only 3 per cent separated the pair.
The Greens' Jack McDonald and the Mana movement's Jordan Winiata had yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, New Zealand First leader Winston Peters will be speaking in Marton and Wanganui next week.
