A world of colour awaits visitors to the latest exhibition from the Quirky Quilters at Cooks Gallery.
Traditional and contemporary, large and small quilts are on display for the next two weekends and most are for sale.
Organiser Jeanette Cutten said about 20 members of the group were exhibiting their quilts and other quilted goods such as cushions.
"Some of us have made works especially for the exhibition, but some are showing older works." It's the second year Quirky Quilters has held an exhibition. The group meets every Friday morning and was so full it couldn't accept any new members, Mrs Cutten said.
"Quilting is still popular; in fact it's multiplying. It's not just traditional any more - you can do all kinds of amazing quilts."
One quilt will be raffled, the money going to the St John Ambulance service.
The exhibition is at Cooks Gallery, Trafalgar Place - behind the velodrome - Saturday and Sunday and next weekend.
