If you have ever wondered if your IQ is high enough to join Mensa, then Saturday is your opportunity to find out.
Mensa is a worldwide club that is evolving with new formulas and ways of thinking, and it is open to everyone.
The 30-minute test will be held in Wanganui with questions that will test participants on a range of topics.
Mensa Wanganui area co-ordinator Garvan Laing said it was not a test of what a person knew, but a test of how well their brain worked.
"People should test themselves and get a chance to join Mensa. It will provide you with a social forum with your intellectual peers and you can be involved with a programme we run called Sight," he said.
Service for International Guidance and Hospitality for Travellers (Sight) is a sub-group that is a host exchange programme for Mensans.
"I met my wife through the Sight programme," Mr Laing said. "There are people who are street sweepers through to lords that are members. In New Zealand the ages of members are between seven and 77," he said.
The location of the test is dependent on numbers, so if you are interested contact Mr Laing on (06) 343 6713 or email test@mensa.org.nz.
