A Whanganui company has created a web application to help businesses save time and trees.
Eighteen months ago Natasha Brechmanis and Greg Nixon from New Zealand Computing Solutions were sick of dealing with stacks of paperwork and clogged up emails. So, they came up with Easy Peasy Forms.
Put simply, it is a website people can use to create customised professional forms within minutes. The forms can be shared via email, copying the link, Facebook, Twitter, or they can be embedded into a website.
Co-founder Ms Brechmanis said it can be really useful for sending out job applications or surveys.
"So often our suppliers send us PDF forms that we then have to print out, fill in by hand, scan and then send back.
"But with Easy Peasy Forms, everything can be done online within minutes. It saves time and trees," Ms Brechmanis said.
People fill out the form online, send it back and then all the information is collected and kept in one spot.
"Say a survey was sent out to find out how satisfied a group of employees were in their job. The responses could be collected and presented in a pie graph.
"It's really systematic and organised."
Founder Mr Nixon said he wasn't aware of any app in New Zealand that worked this way.
"There are similar products being made overseas which shows there is a good market for it," Mr Nixon said.
The website was officially launched in May and already organisations have latched on to it.
Mr Nixon said they had two security companies using the form creator for completely different reasons.
"Whanganui Women in Business have been using Easy Peasy to send out invites for their launch party. It's an easy way people can RSVP.
"It would be great to get more local businesses behind what we think is a positive change with the potential to reach an international market."
