A fine group of tenors will lead the way in tomorrow's Civic Choir concert, according to conductor Rachael Griffiths-Hughes. She says tenors, men who sing in the higher part of their voice, are "as scarce as hen's teeth" because of the change to a lower voice that happens as males age.
The concert will feature music by Mendelsohn, Schubert, Schumann, Reger, Rheinberger and others, much of which has not been performed in Hamilton before.
The concert is in the Cathedral Church of St. Peter, Victoria Street south, Hamilton, tomorrow at 8pm.
Tickets ($25, $20 concession, students $10, children free) can be bought at the door or booked by phoning Kath: 07 855 0762.
