Kiwi triathlete Andrea Hewitt's swim coach is delighted with her start to the year.
Hewitt has won the opening two rounds of the world triathlon series with her latest victory on the Gold Coast on Saturday.
Roly Crichton coaches paralympic star Sophie Pascoe and has also worked with Hewitt whenever she has returned home to Christchurch.
He says Saturday's victory was a perfect dress-rehearsal for for next year's Commonwealth Games.
Next year's race will also be on the same course and also over the sprint distance
The only downside for Hewitt was getting beaten up rounding the first mark in the swim, but Crichton says she is well equipped to deal with rough situations in the water having been a national surf life saving rep.
