Waking up in a cottage made entirely from chocolate may seem like something out of a fairy tale - but now holidaymakers can make it a reality.
A small French house that has been crafted almost entirely from 1.5 tonnes of the sweet treat is now taking bookings.
Booking.com made the dream a reality after discovering 61 per cent of its global travellers pick a destination for its great food and drink.
The Chocolate Cottage is located in the magnificent glass house - L'Orangerie Ephémère - in the gardens of the Cité de la Céramique in Sèvres, just outside Paris. It measures 18 square metres and is big enough for four guests. And all the chocolate elements in it are edible.
It has been designed and manufactured by Jean-Luc Decluzeau, an artisan chocolatier who specialises in chocolate sculptures.
Custom chocolate details inside the cottage include everything from the walls and roof to the fireplace, dresser, clock, cups and books. There's even a chocolate chandelier.
The chocolate extravaganza extends outside the cottage to a white chocolate duck pond and a flowerbed made entirely from... yep, chocolate.
However, those wanting to stay in the cottage will have to be quick as it is only open to guests for a total of two nights.
A night's stay only costs 50 euros (NZ$88) and can be reserved on Booking.com on September 19 or September 26 for stays on October 5 and 6.
Cottage creator Mr Decluzeau said: 'I never thought I'd have the opportunity to build a life-size chocolate cottage for travelers to sleep in.
"I'm excited to collaborate with Booking.com and to share my passion for chocolate.
"I hope guests will relish the chance to experience such a sweet and unique place to stay."
