An Airline worker was caught ranting about a passenger online and calling him a "fat slob" after he complained about his wife not being allowed on the flight.
Lauren Coupland, who works as a customer service supervisor for Irish airline Ryanair, took to Facebook to complain about David Bookbinder after he slammed the airline for its treatment of his wife.
Mr Bookbinder, from Derbyshire in England, slammed Ryanair after staff refused to let his Chinese-born wife, Wang Yi, board the plane for their holiday as she didn't have the correct visa.
A local newspaper wrote an article about the incident and posted it to Facebook, with Ms Coupland deciding to give her view of the events in the comment section.
"I bet his wife was hoping deep down that she wouldn't get on the flight and he would carry on his journey without her," she wrote
"I mean waking up to that fat slob every morning!"
Ms Coupland had her Ryanair job title on Facebook but has since deleted it from her page after her comments gained attention.
However, she still has pictures posing in her airline uniforms across different social media platforms.
The 78-year-old passenger and his wife were planning to fly to Tenerife but their plans were put on hold when the airline claimed Wang Yi did not have the correct visa to travel in the EU Schengen zone of countries.
But he argued that because she was travelling with him on his British passport that the visa was unnecessary.
"Ryanair staff are adamant but they simply just do not know the rules," Derbyshire Live reported Mr Bookbinder as saying.
"I have had to ring their emergency line and, when I finally got through, he said he could not hear me and for me to ring back again. It's ridiculous."
The disagreement meant the couple were stranded at East Midlands Airport.
The employee has since deleted her comment on the Facebook article and there is no suggestion that Ms Coupland was directly involved in Mr Bookbinder's case.
Ryanair told multiple publications that it does not comment on "unverified social media posts".
