Getting there: A 25-minute shuttle from Nadi airport will get you poolside here.
Check-in experience: "Bula vinaka!"
Room: I was in 112. The main door opens straight into the bedroom, which seemed weird, but had the virtue of keeping the front of the suite clear with nice views of the ocean and the swimming pool.
A room with a view? Rooms upstairs would have had better views, but being on ground level meant I didn't have a great angle on the ocean. On the plus side, straight out the sliding door and you're immediately poolside.
Price: From $93 a night. A bargain for what is a very nice property.
What's in the neighbourhood? You're in Denarau, so there's very little in the neighbourhood aside from other identikit resorts. Reception can arrange for boat and land tours.
Fellow guests: I was there for a conference, but most of the guests here will be Kiwis and Aussie holidaymakers. I'd like to think they were doing a night or two here before or after exploring other areas of Fiji, but they're probably flop-n-droppers. I was mercifully child-free for a few days, but the kids' club here is well-regarded.
What to do: There's a golf course nearby. But the smartest move is to head for the pool, get yourself a cocktail, sit down and chill.
Food and drink: There are two restaurants on site - feeling romantic? Staff will set you up for a sunset dinner on the beach. They get a fabulous sunset straight offshore.
The bed: A comfortable king.
Bathroom: A good size, with a large bathtub.
Wi-Fi? You can buy daily Wi-Fi packages. It runs at a very good speed.
Exercise facilities: The small gym has enough for a basic workout. Guests in the pools are more likely to be sipping on a beer than doing lengths.
