What was your greatest holiday? I'm grateful for every holiday but running through the storms with my son to my partner's exhibition in Suva was fun.
And the worst? Never a bad experience - only adventures... like my first time on a scooter and got stuck in rush-hour traffic in Thailand.
If we bump into you on holiday, what are you most likely to be doing? Eating. Flat out.
If we could teleport you to one place in NZ for a week-long holiday, where would it be? Matapouri preferably in February-March when there are only locals mooching about - it's safe, stunning and home.
How about for a dream holiday internationally? Take my big immediate whanau to visit more whanau in Italy, via Hong Kong and Seville.
What's the dumbest thing you've ever done when travelling? Ugh! Leaving my credit card at home so we couldn't check in to our accomodation. Then, the dumb bank shut me out because I didn't tell them I was leaving the country. Luckily, I'm resourceful and got it sorted after a wee meltdown (I have incredible parents!)
Aisle seat or window seat? Aisle. Son has the window.
Complete this sentence: I can't travel without ... my inhaler
What's the best travel tip you've ever been given? Learn languages! Fast!
What was the most memorable meal you've had while travelling? My cousin and I were taken out for pizza on a date by a beautiful man who spoke as much English as I did German. I don't remember the pizza but we talked/signed the night away!
What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip? Pure Fiji sugar scrub - oodles of it. There's a factory store in Suva open for two hours on a Saturday morning where everything is half-price. If you're not careful, you'll cop an elbow in the face among the crowds of over-zealous tourists from the cruise ships! It's awesome!
What's the next trip you've got planned? I have a toothache - so I'm thinking Bali or Thailand.
