Fonterra chief executive officer Theo Spierings has been appointed chairman of the Global Dairy Platform.
Mr Spierings, who has been a director on the global board since 2012, will succeed Dairy Farmers of America CEO Rick Smith, who has chaired the organisation since 2015.
Established in 2006, GDP's mission isto align and support the dairy industry to promote sustainable dairy nutrition.
