Raetihi Showgrounds were packed to the brim over the weekend as spectators gathered to catch the best glimpse of their favourite riders competing at the 2018 Waimarino Rodeo.

Here are the results:

Winners on Saturday March 17:

Bareback:
Ben Webb took first place with a score of 71, winning $201.40; second
place went to Arthur Shaw with a score of with a score of 64, winning $151.05.

Rope and Tie:
Anthony Perkins won with a time of 13.21, earning himself $486.40. Aaron Church Snr took out second place with a time of 16.88, winning $364.80. Third place was Ryan O'Callaghan at 19.85, taking home $243.20.

Saddle Bronc:
Sam Church, Ross Dowling, Paul Tahau and Corey Church were fourth equal with a score of 69, each earning $173.25.

Barrel Race:
Courtney Fox won the race with a time of 16.765, taking home $547.20. Rhondine Long got second place with a time of 17.214, winning $410.40. Third place went to Jenny Atkinson with a time of 17.298, earning herself $273.60.

Klay Lanigan to the title at this event with a time of3.89, winning $456.00. Matt Lanigantook second place with a time of 4.09, winning $342. Close behind him was Raymond Lee Mason with a time of 4.71, going home with $228.

Bull Ride:

First place went to Paddy Church with a score of 84, winning $429.40. Second place went to Mervyn Church Jnr with 81 points, earning $322.05. Johnson Davis took third place with a score of 76, winning $214.70.

Aaron Church Snr (Heeler) and Aaron Church Jnr (Header) won the event with a time of 7.85, each winning $729.50. Paul Rasmussen (Heeler) and Bevan Clayton-Greene (Header) came in second with a time of 8.86, each taking home $547.20. Gary Hackett(Header)

and Richard Mathieson (Heeler) were in third with a time of 9.66, each winning $364.80.
