A steady flow of customers seemed to be the consensus from businesses trading on Thursday and Friday at the Central Districts Field Days, Manfeild from March 15 to 17.

Saturday was busier as the town came to visit.

As with most years it seemed smaller ticket items sold very well. Betacraft and Norsewear had good sales so both had toprovide more supplies for Saturday.

Bigger items like sheds, tractors and ordering fertiliser spreading drew interest. Customerswent away with information to consider before committing to purchase.
The Central Districts Field Days were celebrating 25 years.

Feature events included tractor pulling, fencing competitions and the national excavator championships as well as non-stop entertainment for three days.

Tararua businesses were there in good numbers, taking the opportunity to feature their products and services ranging from the Clean Sweep machine for clearing under shearing sheds to Tararua Heliwork's massive B2 Squirrel helicopter capable of carrying one-tonne loads and Sedco Engineering's custom-made Rama Rotas to Turton Farming Supplies' hot houses.
