Store lamb prices continued to defy gravity in a yarding of about 6000 head at Stortford Lodge yesterday.
The top lambs, from G and K Matches, Glengarry Rd, made $162 and $160. Other good lambs sold above $150.
In the cattle sale a small yarding of about 150 head of mixed quality sold accordingly with younger stock makingbetter money.

Prime sale
Prices remained strong for all classes of stock at Monday's sale.
After several weeks of few, or no, cattle, there were 74 on offer this week.
Prime lambs again broke through the $200 mark with the best of them making $211.
In the ewe pens lighter ewes in the smallish yarding were back slightly but good ewes remained in demand.
