Whanganui's Wharf St slipway in Castlecliff was covered with fish on Sunday - but only some were winners.
The annual Easter boat fishing contest, attracting entrants from across the North Island, reached record numbers with nearly 300 anglers and 90 boats entered.
After six hours of "lines out" competitors returned to the slipway for weigh-in and these were the results:
