A tweet about the colour of capsicums has gone viral with tens of thousands of people sharing they had no idea about it until this very day.
"OK so I've just found out that green peppers turn yellow then orange then red and they're actually all the same pepper just less ripe and my mind is blown," Twitter user Amy posted last week.
She was clearly not alone in making that discovery. Her tweet was liked more than 266,000 times and people are losing their minds over it.
With more than 54,000 retweets, the post spread far and wide.
Now before you go leaving your green capsicums to ripe and turn red in the fridge, Amy clarifies that it will only happen on the vine.
"It's why red ones are the sweetest because they're most ripe," she added.
