British tennis player Laura Robson has reassured her fans that she is okay after finding herself in the middle of the terror on the Las Vegas Strip.
A gunman killed at least 50 people, and injured a further 200, after opening fire on crowds at a country music event from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel.
Robson, 23, was among those in attendance at the Route 91 festival and posted a picture of herself on her Instagram feed in the hours before the atrocity occurred.
She witnessed the panic and horror first hand, and described her ordeal as 'scary s***'.
After being asked by a follower on Twitter how she was, Robson replied: 'I'm okay.
'We were right there.. sounded like fireworks at first then everyone started running. Scary s***.'
Robson has been competing in tournaments on the US west coast over the past few weeks, most recently in Templeton in California.
The Brit - a keen music fan - is understood to be due to return to the UK this week after finding herself with a spare weekend in the US.
