CMK Stratford Flyers had a team of 25 attend the Bay of Plenty Swimming Championships in Mt Maunganui on September 2 to 4.
This meet attracted 400-plus swimmers from all over the North Island and the team had to race hard to make finals, with the majority of the swimmers being up and coming from the 12 and under age group.
It was a great experience and another building block for the team, with many collecting medals, finalist spots and personal best times.
Eleanor Gilbert swum extremely well in her breaststroke races to qualify for the Central Region Aquaknights team to attend and compete in the December Melbourne Champs.
