Stratford Golf
THE weather had the last say over the golfers last weekend.
After light rain and a breeze for most of the morning and the early part of the afternoon, the wind dropped and steady rain set in to put an end to the first round of the Strokeplay Championships.
This Saturday we will again try to have the first of the three rounds of the event. Hence the Championship programme will drop back a week to make up for last Saturday's cancellation of play.
Also a reminder to all that although the weather intervened, more than seven holes had been played, so cards needed to be signed and handed in. Please hand them to the starter this week.
The draw for this Saturday is: 1st tee - 10.30: J Cusdin, B Gibbons, C Meredith, R Swindlehurst; 10.37: G Kite, T Cawley, K Rai, B King. 10.45: Caskey, G Otterson, N Jeffrey, K Gwerder; 10.52: D Behrent, S Richards, H Morton, B Cave; 11.00: D Shearman, S Bruce, D Bates, C Downs; 11.07: S Ngatai, C Kearvell, G Radich, D Robertson; 11.15: T Johnson, W Dymond, L Eagar, M Petford; 11.22: B Kretschmar, K Broughton, S Downs, D Kidd; 11.30:B Caskey, P Smithson, J Bound, K Dymond; 11.37: K Broughton, C Merson, S Campbell, N Aldridge; 11.45: M Cook, T Kelsen, G Kelly, C Askew; 11.52: J Chittenden, K Kretschmar, W Cleland, M McDonald; 12.00: J Erwood, N Bertie, D Hancock, W Wilson;
