A wild kitten loves strokes and being brushed, thanks to plenty of loving care in his foster home.
Crocket, the black and white kitten, is the latest feline looking for a forever home through The Scratching Post in Stratford.
Trustee Karma Andrews says Crocket and his three sisters were rescued from a reserve where they had been free roaming.
The four tiny kittens went to foster homes where, Karma says, they have learned to be friendly and content house cats.
Crocket is now spending some of his time at The Scratching Post, hoping to be matched with the perfect family. As his foster home included other cats and dogs, he is used to other animals.
Karma says he loves being brushed and will sit for ages on a lap if his fur is getting brushed.
He is talkative and friendly and will make a wonderful pet for someone, she says.
■ Crocket is available for adoption from The Scratching Post now. A $130 adoption fee covers the cost of him having been vet checked, desexed and worm and flea treated.
The Scratching Post: 127 Broadway.
Crocket and other kittens are in residence at The Scratching Post, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10am - 2pm.
