THE young mothers and their children from the Stratford High School Teen Parent Unit had a visit from Santa recently.
Arriving on the back of a motorbike, Santa had presents galore for all those who had been good this year.
The unit is open to young and expecting mothers.
It offers a safe environment to continue learning and provide a brighter future for them and their family.
Currently, helpers of the TPU are working with the Ministry of Education in relocating the centre and daycare facilities to the Stratford High School grounds on Swansea Road.
SHS Board of Trustees representative Raewyn Rooney, said this year the unit has made huge leaps to reach their goal and expect to celebrate Christmas 2009 in their new premises.
This year 16 of the 21 young mums passed NCEA Level 1 or 2.
