Last weekend, Highlanders' and former All Black loose forward Elliot Dixon married long-term love Paige Smith in a beautiful ceremony in Dunedin.
Fellow teammates were in attendance including the newly-engaged Aaron Smith; whose partner Teagan Voykovich is expecting their first child.
Dixon and Smith have been a couple since their teens and are proud parents of two young boys; Huxley and Toby.
"He's a big softie and so good with our boys. He's home as much as he can be, and family time is extra special in between his trips away for work. There has never once been a time when Elliot has put anything above the boys," Paige told The Parenting Place website in 2017.
Dixon gave a small glimpse of his big day in a short Instagram video, where he looked dapper in a black suit with black tie, dance dipping his new wife, who looked radiant in a white shoe-string strapped gown.
Survivor NZ finalist Tom Paterson married his gorgeous Australian partner, model and travel writer Christina Macpherson, in a chilled-out ceremony in the Bay of Plenty last month.
The pair got engaged in the Greek islands in 2017 and Paterson has followed in the footsteps of Macpherson, leaving a career in teaching and becoming a professional photographer — chronicling the pair's extensive travels. A source tells Spy, the wedding was at Phoenix Valley Retreat — a new venue in the Bay of Plenty that is beautiful and refreshing.
The groom wore Barkers and the bride was gorgeous in Lucy Jackson Bridal. Many of their international friends made it Downunder for their special day. Macpherson walked down the aisle to Like a Rainbow by the Rolling Stones.
Spy hears the honeymoon will take the form of work next week in the US. They will both work at the Coachella Music Festival in Palm Springs and then road-trip around the US, working on travel and fashion projects. The couple are planning to settle and start a new venture together in Mount Maunganui later this year.
