New Zealand's Dan King-Turner won his quarterfinal tennis match at the US$15,000 ($24,400) Frinton event in England overnight (NZT).
He beat American Shane La Porte 6-4 6-2 to seal his second career semifinal at Futures level.
King-Turner, 22, will play second seed Ricardo Ghedin of Italy, ranked 553, in the semifinals.
Fellow New Zealand Davis Cup player Rubin Statham, 19, has continued his good form in Italy with a win in the first round of the US$10,000 Futures at Palazzolo.
Statham defeated seventh seed Italian Massimo Ocera 6-1 7-5 to set up a clash with French qualifier Sebastian Louis in the second round.
