Soccer: Seaman stays on at Arsenal

Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman says the messages of support he has received since his World Cup nightmare have helped him to prolong his career.

Seaman was widely blamed for England's exit from the finals in June after he let a tame Ronaldinho free-kick float over his head for Brazil's winner in their quarter-final clash.

The 38-year-old returned to action for his club in their 2-0 victory over Birmingham City in the English premier league on Monday, although he has not confirmed whether he will continue at international level.

But he thanked fans for the 5000 letters and messages which helped him to get over his Brazil mistake.
