Racing: Stablemates gallop freely

The smart stablemates Sir Kinloch and Sedecrem galloped freely at Takanini yesterday.

On an easy No 1 grass, 1m out, they cut out out 1000m in 1:1.6, Sir Kinloch and Sedecrem cut out 1000m in 1:1.6, the 600 in 36.9.

Moody Blues hit out strongly over 1200m in 1:16, the 600 in 38.5. Surprize Surprize covered the same ground in 1:16.4 and 37.1.

Pay My Bail ran 1000m keenly in 1:2, the 600 in 37.3. Rose Of Ireland did well to cover the last 1200 of 1600 in 1:17, the 600 in 38.8.

Bank Note went 1200m in 1:17.2, the 600 in 37.7.

Elevenses and Gotaine worked best at Te Awamutu, taking 1:2.1 for 1000m on an easy No 1 grass, 6m out. They came from the 600 in 37.

Dance In The Sun and All Mine took 1:3.4 for 1000m and 38.1 from the 600.

At Pukekohe, Strike Zone looked well when galloping 1000m on an easy No 1 grass in 1:2, the 600 in 36.2.

Ego Fast, who races at Hastings tomorrow, looked set for a bold showing when cruising 1000m in 1:5, the 600 in 37.1. Longing For You went the same distance in 1:6, the 600 in 37.8.

In preparation for Ellerslie on Saturday, Shaq ran 1000m in 1:5, the 600 in 39.1. Bayonette did similar work, quicker at first, in 1:4 and 40.9. Cog Hill was untroubled to run 800 in 51.6.

Icey Red and Payola drew attention to their immediate prospects with smart gallops at Avondale.

On an easy No 1 grass, Icey Red worked solidly once round with Rockin Ronnie, the last 800m in 48.6 and 600 in 36.4.

Payola shaded Didhisbest after 800m in 48, the 600 in 35.7. Savannah Swift also worked in good style with Avon Grosve over 1200 in 1:17.8, the 600 in 36. Patronage ended 1200m strongly and clear of Sheza Hobby in 1:18.4, the 600 in 36.3.

Single Minded galloped boldly over 1000m with Lord Penn in 1:1.2, the 600 in 36.8. Sweet Dancer carried a heavier weight but finished 800 on terms with Sir Albert in 49.5, the 600 in 37.4.

Polski was travelling slightly better than Zata Fox after 800m in 51.6, the 600 in 37.6.

Chapel Of Glory, a form runner for Ellerslie, galloped in good style on a soft No 2 grass at Te Aroha, taking 1:17.8 for 1200m, the last 600 strongly in 36.8.

Western Legacy pleased with 1000m on a good sand at Te Rapa in 1:7, the 600 in a slick 36.8.

The Partisan ended a gallop with 1000m in 1:9.9, the 600 in 40.5.
