Tintagel and Betta Watch It, rivals in the feature event at Pukekohe on Saturday, paired up for an impressive workout at Matamata yesterday.

Galloping 20 metres out on a soft course proper, Tintagel and Betta Watch It maintained a good rate to run the last 1200 metres of their work in
1:20.4, the final 600 in 38.2. They finished the gallop full of running.

Distinctly Secret, marking time while his delayed flight to Melbourne was rescheduled, went with Tanor Manor over 1000m in 1:05.8, the last 600m in 38.8. He continues to thrive.

Straight Eight worked well to shade Class Fever at the end of 1000m in 1:07, the final 600 in 38.2.

Attempt impressed with 1000m in 1:05.2, the final 600 in 38.5.

Sarah Vee had the better of Green Machine over 1000m in 1:08.5, the 600 in 39.6.

On the sand, which was good, Pukekohe candidate Pennies In Heaven showed her fitness with 1200m in 1:18.8, the last 600 in 38.6.

Lowland Stakes candidate Clifton went with Selangor over 1000m in a smart 1:02.8, the last 600 in 37.

Electrico ran his 1200m in 1:21.4, the 600 in 37.5, while Tracktalk covered 1000m in 1:08.8, the last 600 in 39.4.

Hidden Factor looked well when sent over 1000m in 1:06.2, the last 600 in 38.8, while Mr Bojangles returned 1:07 and 38.7 over the same ground.

Tunes of Glory also worked well to record 1:04 and 37.6.

On the all-weather track, Hastings candidates Brave Flyer and Brave Striker had the pace on throughout 1000m in 1:01.8, the last 600 in 36.

Slavic Grove and Dandridge covered their 1000m in 1:03.2 and 37.4, while Brave Dreamer clocked 1:05 and 39.6.

Pay My Bail returned an outstanding semi-final trial for the Lowland Stakes at Takanini yesterday.

Working on the inside of a soft No 2 grass, Pay My Bail maintained a fast gallop through 1000m in 1:1.7, the last 600 in 38.6.

In spite of the quick time she was travelling easily in the finish.

Woodville galloper Hail, on his way to Melbourne for the Yalumba Stakes at Caulfield, ran the last 1200m of 1600 in 1:19.5 and 600 in 40. He looks in grand order.

Roseario went 1000m in 1:4.7, the last 600 boldly in 37.8.

Sokool galloped 1200m in 1:18, the last 600 in 38.9, and Blood 'n' Bone and Pyramus ran their 1200m in 1:18.1, the last 600 in 40.1.

Alberton Rose and Bernadine finished 1000m in 1:3.8, the last 600 in 39.

Miss Leading and Stellar Anne completed 1000 in 1:3.9, the final 600 in

38.6.

At Pukekohe, on a soft No 1, stablemates Tenjuberrymud and Last Laugh cruised over 1000m in 1.08 and completed the 600m in 38.2.

Stablemates Stamford Bridge and Rubbledum went past the 800m in 51.8 and finished the 600m in 39.7.

Colfax and stablemate Censitive passed the 800m in 52.9 and finished the 600m in 39.1.

Palace Aide and I Dont Care worked together, passing the 1000m in 1.04 and finishing the 600m in 38.7.

Bensheim and Bless hit out in excellent style when they worked together at Avondale yesterday.

On the sand, which was easy, Bensheim was on terms with stablemate Bless throughout 1000m taking 1:4.9 and coming home well over the last 600m in 36.7.

Power Of Three looked to be travelling well at the end of 800m recording 49.3 and the final section in a smart 36.6.

Preparing for racing at Counties Sweet Dreams completed a steady round on the outside of the soft course proper quickening the last 600 in 42.2.

Pete's Master and Landsdown Road worked well at Te Awamutu.

Working well out on a heavy No 1 grass, Pete's Master and Landsdown Road worked keenly over 1000m in 1:4, the last 600 in 39.6.

Lord Spectrum and Marlena ran 1000m in 1:4.4, the 600 in 38.7.

Tadan and Sweet Torque covered the 1000m in 1:4.8, the 600 in 38.7.

Sadie Belle worked soundly at Te Rapa today.

On a good sand Sadie Belle hit out nicely over 1200m in 1:17.7, the final 600 in 38.2.

Duty Call ended his work with 600m in 41.9.

He is coming to hand well for owner-trainer Colin Bishop.
