Ever wondered just what those professional tennis courts are like to touch and walk on?
Wimbledon is opening its normally out-of-bounds areas to the public for special tours on Saturdays and Sundays until October 28. Trained guides will take visitors to areas that are even closed to tournament ticketholders, such as the Centre Court's international box, the Fred Perry statue, Number One Court, the picnic terrace and water gardens, and the BBC TV studio.
Advanced bookings are essential as numbers are limited The tour costs is £12.50 ($40) and £11 ($35) for children.
