Wairarapa police have laid charges against the victim of an alleged machete attack.
The 38-year-old Martinborough man was found injured outside the Greytown Police Station early yesterday morning.
He underwent surgery for a badly cut head and has been released from hospital.
Today police charged him with kidnapping, assault and assault with a knife.
Yesterday police charged a 32-year-old Greytown man with wounding and causing grievous bodily harm, allegedly with a machete.
Both men are to appear in the Masterton District Court tomorrow.
