SYDNEY - New Zealand captain Scott Styris won the toss chose to bat first in their four-day cricket match against New South Wales at the SCG here today.
The New Zealanders were forced to make one late change with middle order batsman Nathan Astle pulling out with a minor back strain.
He was replaced by provincial teammate Craig McMillan who only arrived here last night as cover for virus-stricken skipper Stephen Fleming.
NSW omitted former Australian paceman Nathan Bracken while Kyle Mills will carry the drinks for New Zealand.
