Warriors star Manu Vatuvei is set to step into the ring and face Dave Letele on the undercard for Joseph Parker in December.
Stuff reported that Duco Boxing is expected to announce on Tuesday morning that Vatuvei, who recently returned to Auckland after a stint in the English Super League, will fight Letele - a.k.a. The Brown Butterbean - at Horncastle Arena prior to Parker's bout against Alexander Flores.
Since returning to New Zealand, Vatuvei has hit the boxing gym alongside the likes of Monty Betham and David Tua in preparation of fighting Letele – who ironically fought and beat Manu's older brother, Lopini Vatuvei, in 2014.
Letele is well-known in the local corporate boxing world running regular boot camps in Auckland.
The fight card is also set to feature Kiwi heavyweight Junior Fa who will take on Argentina's Rogelio Omar.
Meanwhile, Parker has said he wants to become more "devastating" as he prepares to return to the ring after being defeated by Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte.
"In other camps I've worked on my speed and movement but we all think I need to develop my power to be more devastating," Parker told the Herald.
"If we want a good win and to throw some big punches then we need to work on things… power is one of those. Strength and explosiveness are the other things we are working on in this camp.
"I know I've got fast hands, but we're making sure that every shot means something rather than throwing for the sake of it."
