Steven Adams knows his role for the Oklahoma City Thunder does not involve tracking team changes.
As long as there's a team for him to show up and play with, he's happy.
The Oklahoma City Thunder made a key signing in the off season, securing forward Paul George on a multi-year deal. It was one of a number of key signings the Thunder made, with guard Denis Schroder and centre Nerlens Noel also joining the squad.
After the team were ousted in the opening round of the playoffs by the Utah Jazz last season, there was plenty of chatter that George would not be returning.
When asked by Sports Illustrated about George's decision to stay, Adams admitted he didn't go out of his way to track team changes.
"I don't keep up with that s***, mate. I'm f***ing terrible. I just show up and whoever's on the team, cool."
The Thunder begin their season today against the defending champion Golden State Warriors, however they could be without a host of key players. Adams was in doubt with a back issue, while point guard Russell Westbrook and shooting guard Andre Roberson were listed as out in yesterday's game note.
