This performance comes off the back of a then-playoff high 14 point and eight rebound night in game four.
Adams shot five of eight from the field and collected five points at the free throw line, and half of his 10 rebounds were offensive.
Star teammate Russell Westbrook was 13 of 23 from the field and 7 of 8 on free throws, while Kevin Durant scored 33 points.
Oklahoma City shot 50.6 percent from the field and trumped the Mavericks on rebounds, 42-35.
For the Mavericks, Dirk Nowitzki scored 24 points, rookie Justin Anderson had 14 and veteran centre Zaza Pachulia added 12 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.
Oklahoma City lost Game 2 85-84 at home, then won three straight, including two on the road, to win the series four games to one.
Oklahoma City will now face off with the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference semifinals.
The Spurs made light work of their first round matchup, the Memphis Grizzlies, winning four straight games to complete a sweep.
