Proposed liquor law changes are unlikely to have any impact on Rugby World Cup festivities, says the Government.
The Law Commission report tabled in Parliament today recommends the Government cap closing times for bars and restaurants at 4am.
But Rugby World Cup Minister Murray McCully said he was "not particularly concerned" about the recommendations affecting Rugby World Cup "party centrals".
Speaking before the report was tabled, McCully said: "I gather there are some proposals around it from the Law Commission but the Minister of Justice tells me they are on a slower track and I'm sure we won't have any great difficulties resolving the issues."
"The Minister of Justice tells me there's no conflict of timing," said McCully.
