New Zealand's Marina Erakovic's comeback tennis tournament ended in Italy today.
She lost her first round match 3-6 6-3 4-6 to Italian wildcard Anna Floris at a US$100,000 ($134,085) International Tennis Federation (ITF) indoor event at Ortisei.
Erakovic won three qualifying matches to make the main draw in her first tournament since a hip injury forced her off the circuit in March.
The 21-year-old reached a career-high 49th in the world rankings last year but the six-month layoff has seen that balloon to 240th.
