KEY POINTS:
Hamilton driver Kayne Scott took his Ford to pole position for the first race of the New Zealand V8 championship third round in Christchurch today.
Scott was fastest in each of the three qualifying sessions at Ruapuna Park.
The former champion 's pole-winning time was one minute 30.135 seconds, more than one hundredth of a second under the V8s class lap record of 1min 30.267sec set by Paul Pedersen in 2005 for the twisty technical circuit.
However, the lap record can only be broken during actual races.
With the second quickest time is Angus Fogg, making it an all-Ford front row for the first of three races this weekend.
