British rugby league club Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have set up a fund to help the family of New Zealander Adam Watene.
The prop forward died suddenly of a heart attack at the age of 31 this week.
The Adam Watene Fund is aimed at helping his family - partner Moana and two children Arana, 10, and Ena, 4 - "as they come to terms with their loss and to re-build their lives," the club said in a statement.
His death came six months after that of his father in New Zealand, and his family plans to soon return home.
Watene joined Wakefield in 2006 and became a regular for the Wildcats, making 24 appearances, including 10 matches this season in which he scored two tries.
Watene helped Castleford Tigers gain promotion to the Super League in 2005 but moved on in 2006 to Bradford Bulls, where he played four games.
The club said the address of the Adam Watene Fund is 16 Pinders Grove, Wakefield, WF1 4AH.
