The Harewood Open had a special guest with Love Golf ambassador Israel Dagg not only featuring in the Pro-Am, but winning the event to boot.
Returning from a successful Rugby Championship campaign after the All Blacks 57-15 thrashing of the Springboks, Dagg was happy to be back and relaxing in his happy place.
When the 57 test All Black gets time away from the game, its often on the golf course where he plays off a seven handicap.
"Its a great game, a tough game and you never master it. Its just good to get out there with the mates whenever you can," said Dagg.
The Love Golf ambassador has enjoyed being part of the game and getting tips of the worlds best, Lydia Ko has been beneficial.
"I really enjoyed getting to know Lyds and learn some tips off her."
After a windy and cold start to the day it was smiles all round as staff and sponsors enjoyed a great day out celebrating the Jennian Homes Charles Tour being back in town.
Dagg had a great experience playing alongside big hitting professional, Daniel Pearce who is one to watch this week and has a solid track record at the Harewood Open coupled with his seven pro-am birdies yesterday. Dagg may even feature in the gallery when the Harewood Open gets interesting over the weekend.
His wife Daisy Dagg also enjoys the game and has recently become a She Loves Golf ambassador with the couple enjoying going to the driving range and getting on the course for a hit.
"Its cool to see Daisy really getting into golf. She loves her set of pink clubs and we have a lot of fun popping down to the driving range or playing a few holes together. Shes getting a few lessons as well so its nice to see her enjoying it too," smiled Dagg.
Clubs around the country are currently flooding in with fun events and activities for females to give golf a go along with relaxing a few rules and dress codes to make it easy for them to get into the game.
