Boxing: Tua fight on undercard

David Tua's journey towards heavyweight boxing credibility takes another step next week in Las Vegas.

The Auckland southpaw fights Phil Jackson, of Florida, on the undercard of the world unification junior lightweight bout between Joel Casamayor and Acelino Freitas on January 13.

Tua's record is 39 wins, with 33 knockouts, and three losses, while Jackson has won 43 of his 53 fights, with 38 knockouts. In his last bout, Tua toppled veteran Garing Lane last month.
